Leap into Books Giveaway

Happy Leap Year!

On to the giveaway!

Since I gave birth on Friday (I'll go into more details about that tomorrow), I'm in a very generous mood so I'm giving away my Kingdom of Arnhem trilogy in PDF format! To enter, just fill out the Rafflecopter form below.

Aislinn of Bairbhe dreams of becoming a lady knight to honor the death of her fallen brother. To her mother's horror, King Patrick grants Aislinn's wish and she begins her long years of training.

Despite the mockery of the other pages, and the disdain of Prince Caelan who also trains to be a knight, Aislinn commits herself to her dreams and embarks on a journey of self-discovery and bravery. Through the years, Aislinn and Caelan grow from sparring classmates to good friends. They both know that someday Caelan will marry for the sake of the kingdom, but even that cannot keep them from falling in love.

The threat of war with the Speicans is a constant threat, and one that grows more frightening as she and Caelan train toward their eventual knighthood. Aislinn has committed herself to serving Arnhem, and has promised herself as King's Champion when Caelan claims the throne. She is willing to give up everything... her childhood, her life, even her heart for Arnhem. No matter the pain it brings.

Sir Geoffrey, along with some companions, has been sent away from Arnhem, entrusted by Queen Aislinn for a special mission, and has to leave behind the mysterious lady Celestia. On his journey, he uncovers seeds of a sinister plot, learns a horrible secret, and makes a new friend in exile Jenanna.

Their mission completed, Geoffrey and his companions rush to two different kingdoms to ask for aid. Danger and betrayal lurks around every corner, and even allies have secrets that could prove deadly. Geoffrey's feelings for Celestia grow and wane. After learning some of Celestia's secrets, he begins to have second thoughts about his love for her and is even drawn to Jenanna.

Rumors abound that the Speicans have enlisted a mage of their own, to work unspeakable, forbidden magic. The war between Speica and Arnhem has just begun. Will Geoffrey survive the battle to live another day and discover which woman he truly loves?

The Mystical Conch Shell of the Sea has been stolen, and it's up to Selliki, the selkie, to get it back. Selliki sets across the continent of Alethereia to find Arnhem, and Gabrael, the mage she loves. Selliki knows that no union between a selkie and a human have ever had a happy ending, but neither can ignore their feelings. Each night, they experience terrible, real dreams that show how doomed their love is.

The final war between Speica and Arnhem is threatening the entire world. Lucifer has aligned himself with Speica and wants nothing less than to bring about the Apocalypse before its time. In the last battle, cowardice is revealed, promises are broken, and many people die. Trolls fight icthyocentaurs, dwarves armed up against the Drow, angels against demons. Only one kingdom will prevail; that is, if the world doesn't end.

  2. I read YA because sometimes I want something much lighter in tone than adult fantasy....and sometimes the authors are just better than some adult authors.

  3. Okay, I know I should just buy them already--and I do have a check showing up sometime. But I figure it doesn't hurt to try to win them one more time. :)

Thanks for the instructions on how to find the tweet address, BTW.

I read YA fiction because its lighter than the big epic fiction. I love the fantasy elements, but prefer the easier read since my house is so loud. Does that make sense?

  17. I read YA because it's different from adult reads in a lot of ways. Hopefully less violent, harsh, and profanity-laden (with exceptions, but for the most part). But also because it involves books about the teen experience, which is full of "firsts" and thus really fun and inspiring. Finding one's way in the world, overcoming odds, etc. :)

  18. Congratulations on the new addition to your family!
I read YA fantasy books because my kids love them too. Also, there's not a ton of sexual stuff going on. Some books go overboard on that.

  19. Hi! Thank you for the great giveaway!
I've always loved YA Fantasy books or fantasy books in general since I was a kid (starting with Harry potter or Narnia xD). Fantasy books can bring you in a different dimension, they can take you out of the cruel reality of life. In fantasy you can create a world of your own where to hide yourself.
I would love to read your books and also review them (:

  20. I read Ya fantasy books, because I have always been interested in the genre. Whenever I go to a book store, that is the first section I go to. The stories are always great, and they are the types that almost never happen in real life.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I like them because they are usually a light read. With 5 kids, it's hard to find time to read and I can usually find time to read one!

  22. Thanks for the awesome giveaway! I read YA books because they are a nice break from the more serious matters of adult books, there is usually less violence and definitely less sex and cursing, which means that I can share them with my teens! When we read the same books that gives us lots to talk about and I know exactly what they're reading so they can't sneak a sex filled, curse filled, extra violent book by me! LOL

  23. I read YA fantasy because I've always enjoyed fantasy and some days I don't want to deal with an entirely adult world. Besides, I still consider myself a Young Adult!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Because they have great stories without adult content. I can also share them with my teen daughter.

  25. I fell in love with YA fantasy with the Lioness Quartet series by Tamora Pierce when I was young. I love the usually strong female heroine, the extraordinary circumstances she has to overcome, and the romance that develops.

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  29. Congratulations on giving birth! I hope everything is going great with you and your family! My favorite thing about young adult books (especially middle grade) is that they can go anywhere and do anything, and it's believable. For the teenager, what's cooler than young people doing things : ) ~ Jess

  30. I read ALL kinds of books actually! I love reading and building my library. YA Fantasy is great because it's imaginative and light. Who doesn't enjoy reading about the paranormal? Who doesn't enjoy reading at all?

  32. Firstly, I like YA because I myself am a YA.
Secondly, it helps my compositions in class. I find that YA books give me a lot of inspiration.
Thirdly, the storyline is easier to grasp and is simpler than those adult stories.

By the way, thanks for having such an awesome giveaway and for taking part in this blog hop!

  34. I read almost anything but I love fantasy books. I grew up reading mostly Sci Fi/Fantasy and as I've gotten older I got more into the dark urban fantasy but I like to dig into some more traditional fantasy from time to time. This series sounds pretty interesting. I've never read it before so looking forward to it if I win.
