Weekly Progress Report - Slowing Down

I did end up finishing Two Princesses, One Prince, and a Dragon last week. Ever since, I haven't written much. I tweaked one of my PBs and sent it to my PB crit group and already received feedback and am thinking of how to edit it some more. Other than that, I haven't done any writing.

I've already edited a story for my editing job. Even so, I'm slowing down and not working as hard as I was before. I am beta reading a story for a friend and editing some short stories for MuseItUp. Oh, and I finished scoring the entries for the contest I'm a judge for and submitted them.

Less than two weeks until my due date and I can honestly say I'm ready. Once baby #3 is born, I plan on taking a break from writing and editing for a month. I haven't decided yet whether or not I'll take a break from blogging too. It's gonna feel weird to unplug from the writing/editing world, even if it is only for a month but I'll need it to recover and it's a great chance to get caught up on some reading.

How goes your writing? Your reading? Seen any good movies lately? What have you been up to?

Check out some other great progress reports this week:

  1. Hey! Congrats! I didn't know you were expecting.

My wip is polished and ready for the road to Agent Land. But I'm too scared to send it yet.

*must read it one more time.just-one-more-time*

  2. Congrats on baby #3 and enjoy your month! New baby love is awesome.

I've discovered Downton Abbey (yeah, a bit slow here) and that's my current must watch. Polishing up a PB manuscript for critique and revising my portfolio.

    Cheers!

  3. I wish you a great month. I'm not sure if I could completely unplug for a month. You will be very busy but may need some time with "non-baby" related tasks just to unwind. Does that make sense?

  4. Only a few weeks? Wow! That went fast - for me, anyway! :) I'm just coming back from a month's break and I think it did me good.

  6. Well, I don't blame you for slowing now. You've been working like a machine lately.

  7. Do it! Take a break from blogging. You deserve the time off and congrats on #3. My number 3 was a 3-4 combo (twins). They just turned one and I'm finally getting back into the swing of things. My advice is take the month off. Take two months. Take whatever you need to stay sane. :)

  10. Judging done, lots of writing done, you've placed a nice sort of bookmark in things to comfortably take a break when baby #3 enters the world.

Please do enjoy that time bonding and loving family. Writing will always be here when you're ready.

  11. I'm taking a break from writing and doing the blog tour thing. Watching The Descendants with wifey tomorrow, then I'll try to see a guy flick like Chronicle later in the week.
