Are you planning on preordering or buying a new Kindle for yourself or a loved one? Which one? What do you think of the new features? Now that the price of an ereader has dropped to below $100, are you more likely to give one a chance? Do you think the Kindle Fire compares well to the iPAD?
I just saw the Kindle Fire commercial last night, and I was like, "What? That's awesome!" I know what I'm asking Santa for this year. I hope I've been good.
ReplyDeleteThere is a small part of me that wants them all. I don't know why. *laughs* I really would like to get the Kindle Fire. I have a Kindle 2, and it's great and well-loved, but if I got a Kindle Fire, it'd be better. Plus, I could give my Kindle 2 to my sister or mom, so they can read more books.
ReplyDeleteI had a Kindle, and for me it just sat around. Not because I didn't like it, but more because I'm going through a phase and can't seem ti focus enough to sit down and read. If anything, I'd like to get Tablet. Multi use items make more sense to me in the long run.
ReplyDeleteOh.. I missed the Fire. :P It's pretty cool. I'd say that, as long as there's a way to play iTunes movies on it. Wish it had a more space on it. 8 isn't all that much in the long run.
ReplyDeleteI was really excited to see these, but pretty bummed when I found out that I can't get the Fire because I don't live in the US... Anyway, I'd been considering getting a Kindle for months, just waiting and waiting to see if anything new would come out this year, and it did! So I bought the new basic Kindle :-)
ReplyDeleteomg, Nicole! My aunt just asked me what's the difference in the Kindle models! I'll have to direct her to your post.
ReplyDeleteI have the Kindle 3G + wireless--got it last Christmas. But ooo, I want one of those Fires. :o) <3
Which is the one with commercials?
ReplyDeleteI just saw these! I am SO EXCITED. *happy dance* I think one of them may have to be my Christmas present!
ReplyDeleteI already have a Kindle. But I just realized that my high school has a flipping amazing library, so I don't have to buy books anymore. I may have to obsess over the new fancy Kindles though. ;)
ReplyDeleteI just saw this on Amazon today! I love that there are more choices now, and that the prices are improving. I still have no immediate plans to buy one, but I know I will some day in the future.
ReplyDeleteI really want the kindle touch but I just don't want to spend a bunch of money for something that will be old before I get a chance to figure out how to use all its functions!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a great idea and well priced. I already own an iPad, which I love, so I'm not in the market. I think Amazon will have to move beyond the 8 GB to compete with iPad, though, and that will add to the price.
ReplyDeleteI would love the new kindle Fire. I love that's it's color and a touch screen.
