There are so many love triangles in books nowadays.
Elena. Stefan. Damon.
Bella. Edward. Jacob.
Sookie. Bill. Eric.
And so many more. Is it just me or do most of the love triangles focus on a girl torn between two guys? Why is that? Guys read, too.
Maybe one of my next books should be about a love triangle where the guy has to pick between two girls....
Do you like books that feature a love triangle?
Sure, most guys would love to be torn between two beautiful women who are fighting over him. Doesn't everybody occasionally fantasize about having too many good-looking suitors to choose from?
ReplyDeleteFun post, Nicole.
I LOVE love triangles. The totally build tension and I especially love bad boy vs. angel. SO hard to pick. Funny- I posted about vampire diaries today too! Great minds...;;)
ReplyDeleteI DO like love triangles. I wonder if it work for a guy. I mean, if I guy can't choose between two girls, wouldn't we call him a player?
ReplyDeleteLove triangles make for great reading! I've written a few of them myself, and one with two girls going after a guy!
ReplyDeleteI do enjoy reading love triangles. For some reason they bring out the giddyheaded school girl in all of us. And it adds great tension to the more predictable love story line between the two protagonists. Love triangles get a thumbs up from me.
ReplyDeleteI think most people like love triangles, although I just read a comment on another blog where someone hated love triangles. ;o) Oddly enough, I have the very thing you mentioned in my just-finished WiP: a love triangle where a guy has to choose between two girls! It may be a bit obvious which one he ends up with, however. Ha.
ReplyDeleteLooks like I'm in the minority. I don't care too much for love triangles. There needs to be something truly unique about it. And I don't mean vampire vs. werewolf.
ReplyDeleteew, I lurv love triangles. And quadrangles and pentagons... :D j/k~ They're as much fun to read as to write!
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of turning the tables, though. Good one! :o) <3
