I discovered this awesome writing tool that you should all check out. It's called
The Wasteline Test and checks a sample of your writing (up to 1,200 words) for be-verbs, abstract nouns, prepositions, adjectives and adverbs, it this that and there. It'll then give each of the four categories a rating: lean, fat and trim, needs toning, flabby, or heart attack. It's only a guide but I think it's a pretty handy tool that I'm going to start using and thought you all might want to learn about it too.
Author Katie Hines interview me
here. The questions were really fun to answer this time around and I go into a fair amount of detail about Knight of Glory that you all will hopefully enjoy! :)
I posted on facebook about my titles problem with Torn Between Murder and Love. So many wonderful choices to pick from! I've narrowed the choices down to three:
Assassination of Love
Hidden in Shadows
Lorna's Deadly Choices
Which do you like best?
That is a cool tool to use. I'll have to keep it in mind.
ReplyDeleteAs for the title, I like Assassination of Love of the three you mentioned.
I'll definitely check out the author tool. Thanks for sharing! Can't help with the title though. I'm having problems with that myself.
ReplyDeleteI thought everyone would like the tool. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Cherie, for picking a title. Seeing how the public reacts to them is hopefully going to make it easier to pick one.
Titles can be so hard to get just right, can't they, Mari?
I like:
ReplyDeleteAssassination of Love
Hidden in Shadows
But I think I like Assassination of Love the best of all!
Thanks, Aubrie, for your vote! :)
ReplyDeleteI like Hidden in Shadow, but I think its been used before.
ReplyDeleteJanice~
Thanks for picking, Janice. I checked the titles on amazon before posting them, and none were exact matches for books.
ReplyDeleteAssassination of Love really popped for me.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I decided Hidden in Shadows for book 1 and Assassination of Love for the sequel. :)
