Question of the Week

Copyright (c) 123RF Stock Photos

I've decided to add a new feature to my blog. Every Wednesday, I'll ask you a question. Some, like today's, will be fun, others might be more serious.

Today's question:

Which super power would you want the most?
  • The ability to fly
  • The ability to time travel or freeze, rewind, or fast forward time
  • Mind reading/control
  • Invisibility
  • Teleportation
  • The ability to heal others upon touch
  • The ability to see the future
  • Telekinesis
  • Super speed
  • Super intelligence
  • Immortality/Invincibility
  • Super strength
  • The ability to control the weather
  • The ability to shape shift
  • Something else?
What would I pick? Probably super speed. That way I can get all of my chores done and have a ton of time left over to get all of my writing and editing done. Do you know how prolific I could be then?

What about you? What's your answer to the QOTW?

Good question. Hmm...perhaps invisibility. Oh, but I already had that one nailed in high school. I seriously could sneak up on anyone.

What else? The ability to control the weather would be cool, but I've done that before. Okay, maybe not really, but sometimes I want it to be certain type of weather opposite of what they predict, and it works out.

In the end, I'd have to go with teleportation. I'm always running late and hate to travel long distances, so if I could teleport there in a few seconds, it'd be awesome.

I would want to fly. The rest of them seem like they'd have too many negative implications or unforeseen consequences. And I've always wanted to fly. I wouldn't even care how--if it was by magically manipulating the wind and the air, or just inexplicably able to jump off buildings and fly, or real wings, or a set of metal wings controlled by me... *dreamy eyes*

I am such a telekinesis buff, it's not funny. Kineses all the way!!!

But mind reading and control would come in a close second.

So hard to choose! Probably the ability to manipulate time.

Fun question. Teleportation would be nice since all my family and friends live far away. Yet the ability to control time would be very handy. I could freeze time and get everything done I need to get done plus have a nap! Then I wouldn't miss a second with my son.

It's a toss up between invisibility or teleportation.

The ability to heal with a touch.

I have too many loved ones with hereditary/incurable diseases, and have watched too many friends and their parents struggle with illness this year.

Though super intelligence would be awesome.

I'd pick teleportation! Save time in getting places, especially on long trips. Just think of all the visits to friends and the writer's conferences I could go to! Although healing would be good too (I'll leave that one to God). :)

Boy, I had to think about this one. I'd have to go with immortality, so I could write/read as many books as I wanted. :) Great question!

I like Prue's power from Charmed. She could move items around with great force.

I like this Wednesday feature!

SOO hard. Probably time travel...

Mind reading or control. Definitely. It would be like being the author of the world - I'd be in control. *nods* ;) Awesome question!

It's hard to choose between these. I'm awfully partial toward time travel. Healing people would be good for humanity. Ability to fly could be very usual. Can I pick 3? No make that 6. Oh, what the heck, I'll take them all.

Ability to see the future, or even cooler... Seer like gifts. Not just the future, but the past and possibilities and things like that.

Ahem...I think I'll settle for the ability to thrive without sleep :)

How about being able to slow down the stage from birth-toddler. It goes too darn fast!
